THE SYSTEM

The Authority Engine

A complete SEO system for property management software. Five pillars, one system, built and implemented by us.

This page explains the whole thing. It takes about eight minutes to read.

SEO in this market is done in pieces.

A few blog posts. A keyword list. A technical fix here and there. Each piece works on its own, but nothing connects, so nothing compounds. The site never becomes a source on its subject, so search engines never treat it as one.

A system is different. Every part reinforces the others.

Technical work makes content findable. Content builds authority. Authority makes new content rank faster. Brand signals make all of it credible. AI visibility puts the whole thing in front of buyers who never open a search page at all.

Remove any one of those and the others work harder for less.

01

Technical SEO

Clears the path so search engines can reach, render and trust every page.

Why it matters more for SaaS

Technical SEO decides whether a search engine can reach your pages, render them, understand them and trust them. If this layer is broken, content performance is capped no matter how good the content is.

This matters more for software companies than for most businesses. SaaS sites are built on JavaScript frameworks, run marketing pages and application pages on the same domain, ship code weekly, and accumulate abandoned pages over years. All four create problems most agencies never look for.

What we do

Crawlability and indexation

Full crawl analysis, index coverage by page type, robots configuration, sitemap rebuild, index bloat removal, canonical rules for application and gated pages, orphan page discovery, redirect chain resolution.

Site architecture

Architecture mapping and depth reduction, target structure designed against your topical map, URL standardisation, hub and cluster implementation, navigation and breadcrumb configuration.

Link architecture

Internal link graph analysis, link equity modelling, anchor text standardisation, contextual placement rules per template, priority page link injection. This is the most under used ranking lever in SaaS SEO and it is almost always delivered invisibly by other agencies.

Rendering and framework SEO

Rendered versus raw HTML comparison, client side versus server side assessment, rendering strategy recommendation, direct implementation where we have repository access, post deploy verification.

Most SEO agencies cannot read a Next.js codebase. We can. For a SaaS site this is frequently the difference between content that ranks and content Google never sees.

Performance

Field and lab data analysis, LCP, INP and CLS diagnosed by template rather than by page, image and script optimisation, font loading strategy, caching and CDN review.

Structured data

Schema audit and error resolution, Organization, WebSite and SoftwareApplication schema, Product and Offer schema for pricing, Article and FAQ schema for content, entity connection through sameAs, validated after every deployment.

International setup

Market targeting strategy, hreflang implementation and validation, duplicate content resolution across market variants, terminology localisation. In this vertical the terminology gap between markets is severe, which makes this worth more here than almost anywhere else.

Migration safety

Pre migration crawl and baseline, redirect mapping, staging review before launch, launch day monitoring, recovery plan. SaaS companies redesign and replatform more often than most businesses, and it is where rankings are most often lost.

Continuous monitoring

Weekly crawl comparison, index coverage alerts, broken link monitoring, algorithm update assessment, competitor technical change detection.

Scope

Every page we publish or revive receives full technical implementation. Your existing site is audited, fixed and maintained for the life of the engagement. We do not bill by the hour and you do not need to count them.

02

Semantic SEO

Builds every page so machines understand its meaning, not just its words.

Why it matters

Search engines no longer match keywords to pages. They understand meaning, relationships between concepts, and what a user is actually trying to accomplish.

SaaS buyers do not search once. They search across weeks, moving from a problem they cannot name, to a category, to a shortlist, to a specific product. Semantic SEO is how your product appears at every stage of that path, and appears as the answer rather than as one of ten options.

What we do

The Semantic Brief

Every page we publish is written against a full brief. The brief is the engineering specification for that page.

Research inside each brief: Keyword research for the specific topic. Competitor research for that exact query set. SERP analysis covering format, angle, depth and freshness of what currently ranks. Query semantics. Lexical semantics. Frame semantics. N-gram analysis of the ranking corpus. Entity extraction and attribute requirements. Search intent and sub intent definition.

Specification inside each brief: Macro context, what the page is fundamentally about. Micro context per section. Main content and supplementary content specification. Heading vector with the correct HTML tag on every heading. Contextual bridge requirements between sections. Answer first requirement per section. Writing methodology for the writer. Internal linking targets in both directions. Schema requirement. Visual asset requirement. Word count guidance derived from the SERP rather than from a template.

No writer begins without one.

Every page gets the same brief

There is no lighter version for supporting content.

This is deliberate. Outer section pages are what build the topical authority that makes your revenue pages rank. A map covered with shallow supporting content does not establish a site as a source, it establishes a site with a lot of pages.

Thinning the supporting layer removes the mechanism you are paying for. When volume rises we add brief specialists, we do not reduce the specification.

Semantic content production

Writing to brief specification, section by section. Answer first construction in every section. Entity placement and optimisation. NLP friendly sentence construction with clear subject verb object and low ambiguity. Term and co-occurrence balancing. Table and list formatting for machine extraction. Editorial review against brief compliance. Fact and source verification.

On page engineering

Applied at three points rather than as a separate exercise. During brief creation, during writing, and during publishing. By the time a page goes live it is already fully optimised.

Content revival

Improving pages that already exist. This is almost always the fastest source of measurable results in the first ninety days, because those pages already have history, links and some ranking position.

Decay analysis across existing content. Striking distance identification, positions five to twenty. Intent mismatch diagnosis. Gap analysis against current top ranking pages. Cannibalisation consolidation. Rewrite, restructure, merge or redirect decisions. Republish, reindex and movement tracking.

Moving a page from position twelve to position four produces results far faster than a new page can.

03

Topical Authority

Maps your entire subject and covers it in sequence, until your site becomes the source.

Why it matters

Topical authority is the position a website holds as a recognised source on a subject. It is not built by publishing more. It is built by covering a subject completely, in the right order, with consistent quality.

Once earned, it makes every new page rank faster and defends existing rankings against competitors.

A company that owns its topic does not compete for individual keywords. It ranks across the entire subject by default, including for queries it never explicitly targeted. This is the compounding asset that makes SEO cheaper over time while paid acquisition gets more expensive.

What we do

The Topical Blueprint

The complete blueprint of every page your site needs in order to become the recognised authority on its subject. Built before anything is written.

Foundation: Source context definition. Central entity identification. Central search intent. Monetisation path alignment. Boundary definition, meaning what the site will deliberately not cover.

Research: ICP definition and validation. Buyer journey stage mapping. Market terminology mapping across all four markets. Competitor identification and tiering. Full content coverage extraction per competitor. Topical coverage comparison and gap identification. Entity extraction and relationship modelling. N-gram analysis. Query network construction across root, refined and follow up queries.

Construction: Core section design, the pages that carry revenue. Outer section design, the pages that build authority. Topic and sub topic hierarchy. Contextual hierarchy across the map. Publishing sequence. Priority, format, intent and funnel stage assigned to every node.

What you receive

A complete Topical Blueprint containing source context, central entity, central search intent, core pages, outer pages, hierarchy, priority and publishing sequence.

A competitor coverage analysis showing exactly what each competitor has covered and where the gaps are.

A query semantics report showing the real perception and behaviour behind each query group.

Lexical semantics. Frame semantics. N-gram analysis. Entity analysis with attributes and relationships.

Core and outer

Core pages are limited by your product, not by budget. Product pages, feature pages, use case pages, comparison pages, alternative pages, integration pages, pricing and solution pages. For most companies that is between twenty five and a hundred pages in total.

Outer pages are limited only by the subject. Educational, operational and problem led content around it is effectively unlimited, and it is where the authority comes from.

The Blueprint sequences both, so your core pages benefit from everything published around them.

04

Brand Authority

Builds the external recognition that makes everything else credible.

Why it matters

Search engines rank entities, not just pages. A brand recognised as an entity, referenced across the web and searched for by name receives ranking advantages that no on page work can replicate.

It also produces the most valuable traffic type in software: people searching for your brand by name, because they already trust it before they arrive.

What we do

Entity establishment

Entity definition and consistent representation across the web. Knowledge panel and knowledge graph optimisation. sameAs implementation connecting all brand properties. Organization schema. Consistent naming, description and category across every platform.

Third party presence

Review platform profile optimisation on G2, Capterra, Software Advice and industry specific directories. Industry association and directory listings. Wikidata and Crunchbase presence where eligible.

Community presence

Identification of the forums and communities where your buyer is actually active. Genuine expertise led contribution, never promotional posting. Reddit and industry forums where the audience exists.

Authority building

Link gap analysis against competitors. Digital PR and editorial outreach. Industry publication placement. Guest contribution. Unlinked brand mention reclamation. Data led research assets designed to attract citations.

Brand demand

Brand SERP monitoring. Branded search volume tracked as a primary metric. Comparison and alternative page strategy targeting competitor brand queries.

How we measure it

Branded search volume is the clearest proof this pillar is working. A rising branded search trend means people are looking for you by name, which is the outcome every other pillar is ultimately building toward. It appears in every monthly report.

05

AI Search Visibility

Puts you inside the answers buyers get from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI.

Why it matters

Search behaviour has split into three separate jobs and a site now has to do all three. Traditional SEO gets a page discovered. Answer engine optimisation gets the answer extracted. Generative engine optimisation gets the brand recommended.

Buyers increasingly ask an AI before they ever open a results page. They ask which software suits their situation, they ask how two products compare, and they act on the answer. If your brand is not present in that answer, you are not in the consideration set at all, and no ranking position fixes it.

This matters unusually much in your market. AI engines do not always pull from the pages that rank. They pull from comparison pages, review sites, community discussions, documentation and trusted third party mentions, which is exactly what a property manager relies on when choosing software.

What we do

Prompt Blueprint

Buyer prompt research, meaning the actual phrasing used when asking an AI about software in your category. Prompt classification by buying stage across discovery, comparison, evaluation and objection. Competitor prompt mapping showing which prompts currently return which brands. Baseline citation audit. Prompt to page mapping.

Answer engineering

Answer first blocks above the fold on target pages. Question based heading structures matching real prompt phrasing. Definition blocks for every core concept. Comparison tables built for machine extraction rather than for visual design. FAQ sections built from real prompts rather than invented questions. Statistic and source inclusion, because AI systems favour content that cites verifiable data. Extraction testing, checking whether a passage can be lifted cleanly and still make sense.

Technical AI layer

llms.txt implementation. AI crawler access configuration covering GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google Extended and others. JSON-LD schema stacking. datePublished and dateModified across all content. Content freshness cycles on priority pages. Rendering verification for AI crawlers, which handle JavaScript less reliably than Googlebot.

Citation building

Identification of the third party sources AI systems cite in your category. Review platform presence. Community presence. Industry publication placement. Documentation optimisation, since knowledge bases are frequently cited. Multi source corroboration, because a brand mentioned positively across several independent domains is treated as more authoritative.

Tracking

Monthly prompt testing across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Citation frequency. Mention position, since being named first differs materially from being named fifth. Share of model against named competitors. Sentiment and accuracy checking of how your product is described. Correction of misinformation where an AI describes your product wrongly.

What you receive

A monthly AI Visibility Report covering citation frequency per platform, mention position, share of model against your competitors, how you are being described, and referral traffic from AI platforms.

Almost no competitor in this vertical can produce one.

We build it. We do not hand you a list.

Most SEO engagements end with a document. A list of recommendations handed to a team that already has no time to act on it. Six months later nothing has been implemented and everyone concludes SEO does not work.

We write the content. We publish it in your CMS. We fix the technical issues. We deploy the changes.

Your developers receive a specification only when they specifically want to own a change themselves, and then they get a proper ticket with code review rather than a vague instruction.

This removes your largest hidden cost, which is your own team's time.

How delivery runs

Coverage Sprint, then Authority Sustain.

Topical authority is earned by covering a subject completely, at speed. A map published slowly never compounds, because the market moves first and the client leaves before the work finishes.

So we front load. Volume runs high until your coverage is complete, then steps down to a sustain rate.

Your price stays the same throughout. You are not billed differently in month two and month ten.

Delivery volume

2 phases · same price

01

Coverage Sprint

High volume

Core pages first, then outer clusters in Blueprint sequence. Technical foundation and content revival run alongside. First measurable movement typically appears in month two, driven by revived pages and completed core clusters.

02

Authority Sustain

Defend & expand

Volume steps down. Focus shifts to Blueprint expansion, content revival, AI search visibility, brand authority and defending positions as new pages begin ranking faster than earlier ones did.

That last point is what proves the system is working. When a new page reaches position in three weeks instead of three months, the authority is real.

The first ninety days

What actually happens, week by week.

  1. 1

    Days 1 to 7

Onboarding. Access collected. Team connection meeting. Kickoff meeting, where we agree the priority query set your performance guarantee is measured against.

  2. 2

    Days 1 to 21

Full Stack SEO Audit across technical, content, competitive and commercial layers. Coverage Intelligence baseline. Tracking and dashboard configuration. Audit presentation call.

  3. 3

    Days 1 to 30

Topical Blueprint construction and batch delivery. Prompt Blueprint. Technical quick wins implemented. Content revival priority list produced. First Semantic Briefs.

  4. 4

    Days 31 to 60

Structural technical work implemented. Link architecture baseline applied. Content production at full sprint rate. Content revival begins. Entity and profile establishment.

  5. 5

    Days 61 to 90

Full production rate sustained. Cluster completion and internal link activation. First measurable ranking movement, primarily from revived content. Ninety day review and forward plan.

What we will tell you before you sign

Months one and two will look like a great deal of work and very little movement. That is what building a foundation looks like. We say this in advance rather than explaining it at week six.

Guarantees

Three commitments, in writing.

  • Delivery

Every deliverable in your scope, every month. If we miss it, that month is credited.

  • Milestones

Your Full Stack SEO Audit and your Topical Blueprint land within 30 days. If they are late, month one is free.

  • Performance

Measurable movement on your agreed priority keywords within 90 days. If not, the next month is delivered at no cost.

Why the performance guarantee is safe to offer

Because content revival is included. New content rarely moves inside ninety days. Revived pages already sitting in positions five to twenty move within weeks. Without revival this guarantee would be a liability rather than a commitment.

Full conditions are stated in your Service Delivery Document, which you receive before you sign.

What we measure

Five numbers that tell you whether it is working.

  • 01

    Ranking movement

Position change across your agreed priority query set, not a single flattering keyword.

  • 02

    Ranking velocity

How quickly newly published pages reach position. This is the truest measure of topical authority. A page ranking in three weeks when it used to take three months is the clearest evidence of progress available.

  • 03

    Branded search volume

People searching for you by name. The clearest signal that brand authority is compounding.

  • 04

    Blueprint coverage

The percentage of your topical map completed. Tells you how far through the system you are.

  • 05

AI citation frequency and share of model

How often you appear in AI answers, in what position, against which competitors.

See where you stand before you decide anything.

The fastest way to understand what this system does is to let us show you something about your own product that you probably do not know yet. The AI visibility check is free, takes three working days, and requires no call.
